Spring into Volunteering
Make New Friends and Make a Difference
As a local charity we rely on the support of the local community to help us to help the older people of East Cheshire. We currently have over 170 volunteers who help us in many ways.
We are urgently need your help to fill the following volunteering opportunities:
- Charity Shop Helpers for Macclesfield and Knutsford
- Day Care Drivers for Poynton, Knutsford, Mobberley, Handforth, Congleton and Holmes Chapel
- Fundraisers across East Cheshire
Volunteering is a two-way process
We benefit from the skills, experience and knowledge which local people bring to the organisation along with energy, commitment and creativity. We hope that volunteers, through their volunteering, grow as they acquire new skills, develop their personal potential and have fun, whilst making a positive difference to the life of an older person in their own community.
There are a range of opportunities to support a variety of services, depending on the level of the commitment you wish to make - from a few hours every six weeks to a full day once or twice a week - and the type of role you feel would best suit your skills and experience. You will have a lot of fun and be helping older people in your community.
Take a closer look at what we do and see which opportunities you would like to learn more about. If you would like to know more about any of our services, get in touch for some more information or an informal chat with the service manager. And before you go, take a look at some of the questions we get asked about volunteering.
