Computer Learning
Age Concern East Cheshire has been providing computer learning across the Eastern Cheshire area since 2003. With an experienced team of staff and
volunteers we help over 500 people each year get to grips with computers and the internet, whether as complete newcomers or as experienced users who need a bit of advice to help develop new skills. The service is focussed on basic skills so the most popular courses are 'Absolute Beginners', 'Internet & Email', and 'Word Processing'. For more experienced users we have a very popular 'Pictures on Computer, and we can provide one-to-one sessions to help with particular issues and problems.
We have three learning centres:
- Our New Horizons Centre in Macclesfield
- Oakmere, Spath Lane, Handforth
- Age Concern charity shop in Knutsford
Classes are held throughout the week. Just give us a call on 01625 612958 and we will add you to our programme. We also hold classes in community locations throughout the area.
Our Community Classes are currently held weekly at Oakmere on Spath Lane in Handforth, at Warford Park in Mobberley and Heath View in Congleton. You are welcome to join us, just call us on 01625 612958 and ask for details.
"I cannot speak too highly of all the people at Age Concern East Cheshire. I've discovered a new interest and a rewarding hobby. I have emailed friends in America and Africa, sending photographic attachments which I couldn't have done without Age Concern East Cheshire's computer courses. They are invaluable for modern living."
